My Studies Summary (Form 4)

I had the PT3 exam last year. I didn't get what I targeted, but alhamdulillah my results were just fine. Moving on to Form 4, I got into the pure science class. Almost a year has passed, I'm reaching the end of my Form 4 life.

The pure science stream is as hard as it sounds. Now, let me just rant about the elective subjects I'm taking based on my almost one year experience learning these topics.

I love learning this subject. Biology is all about living things such as humans, animals and plants, which for me are kind of interesting. It's like we're learning about ourselves, about how we become from a tiny cell to us right now, about what happen in our body when we breathe, eat, and others. Animals are not that bad too, especially when we got to dissect a frog. That time, for a moment, I wanted to be a doctor. It was a very fun experience! I'm just not that interested when it comes to plants. Overall, it's no big deal. Yes, it requires a lot of memorising facts and unusual scientific words, but it wouldn't be that hard if you understand the topics.

Physics is hard, but to be honest, it is my favourite out of all three science subjects. Why? Physics is all about the things that happen around us. It's even more impressive and mind-blowing that Biology. We got to know how the balloon filled with helium flies up, how we can see ourselves in the mirror, how a simple thermometer can detect our body temperature, how our body jerked forward when our car suddenly stops, how we feel the changes in our body weight when we're in the elevator, and so much more. This subject is very fun to learn. It just requires lots of formulas and calculation. You just need to do lots of practices.

I like learning Chemistry, but honestly, this is the hardest one for me. Chemistry requires memorising and calculating. Plus, for this subject, I just couldn't find the point. Unlike Biology and Physics where we learn about living things and our surroundings, Chemistry is just ... why? I don't care what the most reactive ion is or how salt is made. Yes, it is important, but I don't know why I just couldn't be bothered. It might be interesting for people who are really into science, but not me. No offence for students who like Chemistry, it's very great and lucky for you if you like it. Please know that I'm so jealous of you! I just wish I like and good at it too as this subject is the most important one out of all the three science subjects.

Additional Mathematics
As what everyone says, Additional Mathematics is hard. But I like it more than the Modern Mathematics. Add Maths is the real maths. I'm studying with an excellent and one of the best Add Maths teachers in Malaysia, she was the Ketua Penanda SPM in Malaysia on this subject, I'm not sure if she still is. I feel very honoured to get to learn Add Maths with her. Add maths is still hard, no kidding, but she made it easier and simpler for the students. She explains the steps one by one which makes us understand even more. She made me like Add Maths. For this subject, you have to do a lot, like really lots of practices and exercises.

I guess that's it. For the other subjects, alhamdulillah, they are all fine. There are still a lot of things that I need to improve and adapt, especially Chemistry.

Form 4 is hard. It's even more difficult than Form 5. Why? Because this is the year when you will have to adapt lots of new things and subjects. You have to master the Form 4 topics to get an easier Form 5 life. Why? Because in Form 4, you will be learning all the basic stuff about the subjects you're taking as a preparation for Form 5 topics. If you don't take your Form 4 year seriously and take it as a honeymoon year, your Form 5 year will be ten times harder.

For the Form 3 students this year, find the best stream for you. Find something that you like and interested in, something that you're able to carry. Be focused on class and ace the Form 4 topics! Remember, you need that basic stuff in Form 5 soon.

Overall, I truly enjoy being a science stream student.

6 Current Favourite Songs

I love music. Everyone does, right? I've been listening to lots of songs lately. English and Malay. I feel like sharing these songs with you guys! I love sharing my favourite songs to people. Sometimes, I force my friends or siblings to listen to the songs I like!

These are the six songs that have been on repeat on my playlist. I have a lot more, but these are the top ones for now. Hopefully, you guys will enjoy them!

#1 Selamanya Cinta - Shila Amzah ft. Alif Satar
Obviously. Don't judge me, but I've been obsessed with Suri Hati Mr Pilot lately. It's not like the best drama that I've ever watched, but I like it. Neelofa and Fattah Amin have this chemistry that just made me love watching them together. I just get hyped every time I hear this song as it just reminds me of how cute Ejaz and Warda are. This is why I like it!

#2 Jaga-Jaga - Amira Othman.
I LOVE THIS SONG. Yes, this is the OST for Abang Bomba, I Love You, but this time, it's not because of the drama. I've never even watched it. I just love Amira Othman's melody. Her songs just don't have that typical kind of tune that Malay songs usually have. I loved her first song, Hati-Hati so much and I love this one even more. If you've never heard of her or her song, please do so. She's great!

#3 Honest - Shawn Mendes
I've always love Shawn Mendes songs. Like, all of them. His first album, Handwritten is still one of my favourite albums until today. His second and latest album, Illuminate is great. Honest is one of my favourite songs from the album, but trust me, the whole album is fantastic. Go ahead and listen to him!

#4 Shout Out to My Ex - Little Mix
No kidding, Little Mix is the best girl band for now. Their album, Get Weird is great that I was so addicted to it! I used to listen to that album for like 20 times a day because it was that good. Their voices are beautiful. This song, Shout Out to My Ex is their first and latest single from their upcoming album, Glory Days. I'm so, so excited for their next album!

#5 Closer - The Chainsmokers ft. Halsey
I'm a big fan of Halsey. Her album, Badlands is one of a kind. She has this Lana Del Rey kind of vibes, and I like it. When I heard that she has a song with The Chainsmokers, I was so excited! The Chainsmokers are great, their songs such as Don't Let Me Down was also my favourite. This song, Closer is my current obsession. It's such a fun song!

#6 This Town - Niall Horan
Yes, guys, Niall Horan from One Direction has his first, solo single. To be honest, I was so obsessed with One Direction! I still like them, just not that much maybe? And now, Niall has his song. It's perfect for him to have one. I'm just hoping that the band won't break up or something as Harry Styles also have his a solo single now. I still want them to be together! Whatever it is, Niall's new song is amazing!

How Did I Start Blogging?

Every blogger must have their story on how did the start blogging. Today, I feel like sharing with you guys on how did I start my blogging journey. It's been a while since I had this blog, and I would love to share this story.

How? My friend, Ameera started a blog first. I love reading her blog, so I decided to create one for myself, and here it is. I started this blog in 2012 when I was 12. Yeap, four years ago. It wasn't that great; I can barely remember how it looked like. But I still remember my first header that I made using Photoshop. It was hideous and colourful, and I even got my face on it.

I was so active until I started high school. I was still active when I was in Form 1(2013), but then I stopped for a year and a half. I came back in 2015, deleted all my posts, changed my template, URL, and others. I changed everything. I restarted my blog. As you can see from my Archive widget, my posts only start from 2015 because I deleted all my old, funny posts from 2012 until 2013. Then, I stopped again for half a year as my Form 4 life was quite hard and busy. Then, again, I came back. And now here I am, writing this post for you guys.

I edit my blog a lot. I follow lots of tutorials, especially the tutorials by Lyssa. I've used blogskins, I learned reading and editing codes just by blogging. Then, I switch back to denim template because blogskins are hard to edit as it is 100% coding. And now, I'm using a free responsive template. It is still hard to edit and requires code editing, but it's not as hard as blogskins. I want to buy a template, but I'm not sure if my mom would let me. I'm currently joining a template giveaway by Erin Azmir, Click here if you want to join!

My first ever URL was my name, and I love it. Then, I don't know why, but I changed it. My second URL was This was my Tumblr URL, so I decided to use it for my blog too. I love my first URL, but I swear I don't know why I changed it. I want it back, but sadly someone else took it. Moving on to my third URL which was, this is my previous one. This is my name in my friend's way of spelling. I know it sounds weird. My friend spelt my name like that once before, and I kind of liked it. I thought it would be great as a blog URL so I changed to it. Then here comes my current URL which is Jay is my dad, Jasmi bin Ali bin Yaakub. I wanted to change back to liyanajasmi, but as I said, it is taken.

I've always wanted to have my own domain. I will try to get one, soon. I'm not sure when but maybe after SPM? And maybe my own laptop too, so I can blog anytime and anywhere.

I've always loved blogging, especially when it comes to editing the blog. I can stay up until 5 am editing my blog without feeling tired. I wish I have more time for my blog. I will try to be more active from now on. I already have a list of post ideas, and I just don't have much time and of course, Writer's Block. Don't worry; I will try my best to be more active. Maybe at least one post every week. Yayyy!

So, that is that about my blogging life. Oh, and by the way, I still have one week of exams, six papers left. Gosh, I really can't wait for it to be over. I miss eating Maggi so much!

Thank you for reading, do leave your words down there. Have a beautiful day! xx

Changing, Soon.

Hello, it's me. I have been gone for a few months, sorry.

My blog is currently a mess right now, I know. Especially the sidebar widgets. There's a reason why.

Just want to say that I'm currently in the process of editing a new template. I will change everything again. Including my URL. I might also delete all my posts, not sure about that yet.

It's my exam week, final exam. And here I am, blogging. I love editing my blog; I swear it's just so addicting. I really should stop for a while.

Whatever it is, I will be back as soon as my finals are over. I will change and start everything over again. I still love blogging, and it's been almost five years now, and I want to keep up with this blog.

Insya'Allah, I'll be back in November. Can't wait to start blogging again!
Wish me a stroke of luck for my finals. Insya'Allah. Thank you so much!

See all of you soon!
